A cross rises above its heart, a symbol of the pain it endured for us. This image was revealed by Jesus to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary, as Saint Luke relates, is where “she kept all these things” (Luke 2:51). It represents her ardent love for Christ and for humanity, even when pierced by a sword (prophesied by Simeon in Luke 2:35). His heart is surrounded by roses, evoking tenderness and purity, very similar to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The Chaste Heart of Saint Joseph is wrapped in lilies, a symbol of his purity, holiness, and devotion as the husband of the Virgin Mary and adoptive father of Jesus.
