In 1830, the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Catherine Labouré and entrusted her with the design of a medal. The Virgin promised great graces to those who wore it with faith, giving rise to one of the best known and most beloved Marian devotions.
The medal carries the traditional symbols of the Miraculous Medal. On one face, the Virgin stands with open arms, pouring out rays of grace. On the other, the monogram of Mary, the cross, the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and the twelve stars.
Its reversible design lets you wear either side facing out. Beside the medal, a small cross set with zirconias adds a delicate shine and completes the piece with even more meaning.
